About the Author
Karen Robards is the bestselling author of twenty-seven novels. The winner of six Silver Pen awards for favorite romance novelist, as well as numerous other awards, she lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her husband, Doug, and their sons Peter, Christopher, and Jack. She says, "I read, I write, and I chase children. That s my life."

The story started out slow but got very interesting as I kept reading. I would recommend this book if you like a little excitement, mystery and a beautiful love story

I Love Julia too!

Sorry for the corny review title, I couldn't resist :). This was the first Karen Robards book that I read and I still think it's the best. Amanda Rose and Dark Torment are also very good. I like reading her work because she always seems to add enough plot twist and unpredictable character behavior that keeps it interesting. As you look into the characters lives, you will feel hopeful, annoyed, touched and finally triumphant. This is a hardcore (by the numbers) romance, so if you like period pieces and you are a hopeless romantic, then you will get everything you want out of this book. A note of caution however, having read a few of her books back to back, her work seems a bit predictable and her main male character annoyingly simular. However, Loving Julia still stands on it's own merits.

Fit for Life aims to return you to a lifestyle based on your natural body cycles. That means 70 percent of your diet should be "high-water-content foods"--fruits and vegetables--which facilitate all body functions. About the Author
Harvey Diamond is known internationally as an author, teacher, and health consultant. He has devoted more than 28 years to the development of a true 'wellness' lifestyle. He taught nutritional science at the Institute of Holistic Studies in Santa Barbara, CA, and lectures on health and well-being to top corporations and organizations. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs, including Larry King Live, Oprah, Nightline, and Good Morning America. Marilyn Diamond has a certification of nutritional counseling from the American College of Health Science and has worked and studied in the nutrition/health field for over twenty years. They are the co-authors of Fit for Life and Living Health.

Love everything about what it says

I have been combining for years after reading Natalia Rose and Marilu Henner and think this is the book that started the movement. Love everything about what it says. These principles have changed my life...I am comfortable when I eat now! The recipes in the back are simple and delicious and I have tested them on my kids who say they are pretty good. Must read!!

Fit For Life, more than just physically

I have read both "Fit For Life" I and II, and am now enjoying a much healthier and happier life than ever before. Having life long poor health, I never imagined the impact that a properly funcitioning body could have on not only my physical health, but on my mental and spiritual health. The principles of "Fit For Life" have completely changed my way of thinking about health, food, nutrition, and the food companies. I have learned about proper food combining, fresh raw vegetable nutrients, the importance of nutrient balance, and the lack of value in processed food. I now enjoy fully tasting food, craving nutritious living food, and very importantly, NOT being hungry all the time! There will always be those that try to discredit something honest, informative, and benefical to the people (you and me) that they, the discrediters look at as mainly a source of profit, through half thruths, paid of reserchers, and just plain lies. "Fit For Life", "earns their keep" by providing accurate useable information, the "where, when, and how", and most importantly, the TRUTH. Thank you to the Diamonds.

This Book Forever Changed My Life....

25 years ago my great aunt was sitting in her living room with a copy of this book. Her brother, who had hovered at 400 pounds all of his adult life, came across a copy the year before and by incorporating the author's ideas, lost over 150 pounds. I never met him but as a teenager who had struggled with my weight, I was intrigued. I bought both the hardcover and the book on cassette versions and devoured them.

It was an easy psychology toward eating. No calorie counting - more food combining. I modified the concepts in the book to fit my own lifestyle - vegetarian, which the book is not. I have kept my weight consistently in check for 25 years now. My 68 year old mother adapted to the concepts of the book the same time I did (she was in her 40's then), and just two years ago she went to the doctor for the first time in 20 years - a mandatory physical for work. Her doctor ran a battery of tests: EKG, stress tests, etc... then he ran them all again after asking her a mile of questions about her diet and lifestyle. Finally the young doctor came and slumped in his chair. Shaking his head, he said: "I can't figure it out. All of your tests keep coming back with the results of a 38 year old." What did you say you do?

I can't say enough positive things about this book!

Great Read

"Payback With Ya Life" is the sequel to "Payback is a Mutha." It starts off with Shan still coping with her bestfriend Brianna's suidcide, she's pregnant by a married man who's in prison, and she have nobody to turn to. Shan feels as if her best bet is to move to Detroit and start over but her brother Peanut, a major drug dealer, have hits against him. The people who are after him are willing to do anything and everything to get him so Shan's life is at sake also. The father wants nothing to do with the baby and woman of the married man is also out to get Shan too. There's a lot of set-ups in this book and surprising moments. I personally liked it better than "Payback is a Mutha" because it so suspenseful that it'll keep you wondering about what's going to happen next but what happens is always unexpected. I would certainly recommend this book to a friend because it is good read.

Follow your heart Wahida!

Wahida said she had no plan for a sequel and I thought she was dead on. I'm a huge fan of Mrs. Clark and this book was really not great at all. I don't know why, but it didn't have an authentic Wahida feel.In Payback is a Mutha Shan was sort of an airhead and she is in this one as well. Peanut Shan's brother comes in the story and he's trying to get revenge on everyone who backstabbed him. Briggen is the same person he was in the first book always looking to make that money, but this time he's a little bit softer.I also found characters difficult to keep up with, I had to turn back on several occasions to see who was who and how did the fit in the story it was a mess.I hope Wahida comes back in future book and brings the fire like she normally does!

You want to read something juicy? Something that will have you glued? How about something so goo you wake up out your sleep to read it? Then this entire series is for you. I read all four books in 4 days, and yes i have 2 jobs!! Thats how good it was!!

Van Kampen's book is a must-have for anyone interested in stochastic processes. The presentation is masterful and there are numerous thought-provoking examples and exercises. The author's remarks on "abuse" of methods (such as the Langevin technique) are well worth understanding, even if one does not agree with him in all cases. The price is a bit steep which is unfortunate since this book is really ideal for advanced undergraduates and graduate students.

Utility and Clarity

Van Kampen is that rare book that has enormous utility while being very clear and readable. It is perfectly suitable for sitting down and reading; the ideas flow together in a seamless way. Yet if you need to use it as a reference, you can flip to the appropriate page and the ideas will still be clear! It's amazing to me how Van Kampen manages to have the topics of the book stand alone, yet be woven together in such a logical, and even pedagogical, way.
This book is recommended for anyone working in statistical physics and is a must for anyone studying nonequilibrium phenomena in chemisty or physics. Even moreso than Kubo's excellent book on nonequilbrium statistical mechanics, this is the most clear and complete volume.

This book is accessible and pertinent to anyone who wants to perform more consistently and effectively. While it focuses on sports, it has a number of useful lessons that can be applied to any aspect of life. The book sets up a program step by step that builds on a very solid foundation of research in both the U.S. and the former U.S.S.R. All of the information is, and will continue to be pertinant. A friend lent me his copy and I was overwhelmed.
